Day care starter packs in Yeovil: preparing for your dog’s first sessions

2 min read

A starter pack can help you plan your first day-care bookings, but choosing a pack comes after considering suitability. At Paws n Klaws, Meet & Greet approval is required before purchase. Use that conversation to discuss your dog’s needs and understand how the introduction will work.

The current starter-pack options

Our published options on 11 October 2026 are Bronze: two sessions for £79; Diamond: three sessions for £116; and Golden: five sessions for £200. Check the starter-pack page for the current details and confirm the booking arrangements with the team. The number of sessions is not a promise that every dog will settle within that time.

Prepare for the Meet & Greet

Share health information, medication, feeding requirements and your dog’s experience around other dogs. Describe any worries or previous incidents accurately. Ask what the team needs to see before approving attendance and what happens if a different care arrangement would be more suitable.

Agree the practical details

Confirm the session dates and times, collection arrangements, required documents and what to bring. Ask about rest, supervision, feeding and communication rather than assuming the whole day is group play. Read the applicable purchase and booking terms before paying.

Keep the first-day handover clear

Tell the team about any new health or behaviour change and make sure contact details are current. Keep arrival calm and follow the agreed routine. Useful information includes the dog’s usual settling habits and any individual handling instructions; a long list of untested assumptions is less helpful.

Review the experience together

Ask how the dog spent the day, whether they rested and whether anything needs adjusting. Observe how they recover at home and share concerns before the next visit. More sessions are not automatically the answer if a dog is struggling. The team can discuss attendance and alternatives according to suitability and availability.

Ready to discuss an introduction?

Explore the starter-pack page and contact Paws n Klaws to arrange the suitability conversation. Confirm approval and the practical details before choosing a pack.
